As a designer, you’ll be asked to aid creatives in existing projects and provide new and fresh approaches to design problems, helping projects move forward. You’ll ensure your projects run smoothly, have great interpersonal skills and confidence handling and delivering client-facing work. You’ll take an active role communicating and delivering great results.
Responsibilities
- Work on existing web and native app products, maintaining a superb level of design
- Creating beautiful work of the highest standards based on client requirements
- Work with teams to understand business strategies and create user stories to reflect them
- Provide high-level wireframes and be able to explain your reasoning while incorporating client and team’s feedback
- Create beautiful mockups and continue to deliver great design work from concept to delivery
- Be able to adhere to specified brand guidelines
- Accurate, precise planning in a fast-paced environment
- Management of design schedules and tasks
- Effectively communicate road blocks and breakthroughs to the team to manage client expectations
- Occasionally aid junior team members in their tasks to ensure high quality
- Liaise with the Project Management and the Engineering teams to ensure deadlines are met
In 1 Month, you’ll:
- Start building a rapport with the project team and broader design team
- Pair with other designers to understand their projects, and the way of setting up environments
- Shadow the CDO or a fellow Senior Designer in client meetings
- Own small tasks in the project(s) you’ll be working on
- Learn about the Codelitt Design processes
- Have 1-1 pairing sessions with CDO
In 3 Months, you’ll:
- Lead design meetings and interactions with the client, totally independent or accompanied by (but not second to) the CDO or another senior designer
- Build trust with the client based off on your own skills
- Take more ownership of your project(s), working on bigger tasks
- Be comfortable being more independent and not reliant on others to make design decisions and move projects along
- Have 1-1 pairing sessions with other designers
- Actively help shape the Design Team’s processes
- Help with content creation
In 6+ Months, you’ll:
- Own your tasks, and team and client meetings fully
- Actively participate in DS&T
- Actively help shape the Design Team’s processes
- Mentor designers on a 1-1 basis, or via knowledge sharing
Requirements
- +6 years proven work experience in web product design: web applications, native apps, etc.
- Portfolio of completed design projects
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite, Sketch App, Invision and Figma
- Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
- Incredible attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
- Experience presenting to creatives, strategists and clients from concept to delivery
- Superb knowledge of product design processes and web design
- Able to quickly adapt and learn new project workflows
- Self starter, but able to follow directions
- Experience in Lean Methodology
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent phone manner
- Excellent written and oral English language skills
- Able to lead more than one project at once
Bonus
