At Netlify, we’re building a platform to empower web developers to build better, more elaborate web projects than ever before. We’re aiming to change the landscape of modern web development. Netlify currently serves more than 800,000 developers worldwide.
We recently raised $53M in Series C funding to bring forward the next generation of tooling for a more accessible web. This round was led by the EQT Ventures with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz & Kleiner Perkins. This brings Netlify’s funding raised in total to $98M to date. Other past investors include Bloomberg Beta, Designer Fund, and Tank Hill Ventures, as well as the founders of Figma, GitHub, Slack, and Yelp.
Netlify is a diverse group of incredible talent from all over the world. We’re ~48% woman or non-binary, and are composed of about half as many nationalities as we are team members.
Developers love using Netlify to build, deploy, and manage their sites and apps. Documentarians love it, too, as more and more docs-as-code projects move their sites to Netlify—including the Linux Foundation, Docker, Kubernetes, Hugo, Citrix, and Atlassian.
Inside the company, we’re a small but growing team of about 100, working cross-functionally in a documentation-driven approach to product development. We’re looking for a development-savvy senior technical writer to help write and review documentation, tutorials, and UI copy, striving for clarity, consistency, and correctness across the entire customer experience.
We’re at a key place in our development, building our Documentation team to support an increasing rate of product additions and enhancements. We’re hoping our next hire will not just expand the team’s bandwidth for documenting new and improved product features but also establish their own focus area over time.
We’re eager to meet people who are interested in increasing the impact and reach of the Docs team by following their passions and drawing on their particular experience. For example, we could imagine our new senior technical writer establishing data analysis and reporting to help shape the docs roadmap / measure success, working closely with our external partners on mutually beneficial documentation projects, establishing a pairing process with marketing, or driving improvements to our API documentation.
Of everything we’ve ever built at Netlify, we are most proud of our team.
