We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Magazine Writer to join our team. You will work closely with our team to create engaging content for our target audience.
As a local events and news website writer, you should be a pro at research. Many of the events we like to include do not have much information, so it will be up to the writer to find creative and entertaining ways to write about the events — without fluff.
Responsibilities
- Writing, editing, and proofreading your text
- Fact-checking information and ensuring that all articles are accurate and authentic
- Generating new ideas for stories and features that would interest our target audience
- Researching stories
Requirements
- A degree in Journalism, English, or any other related field
- One-year experience in writing professionally
- Portfolio of published articles
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in written and verbal English
