HARD REQUIREMENTS
- You must have intimate and deep knowledge about Hawaii, and be able to write from the perspective of someone who is local. This means you should have either lived in Hawaii or traveled to Hawaii 10+ times for extended periods of time. Please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria.
- Experience with the various tours and activities here is a huge plus.
- Submit your rate/cost per word in your application. Applications without this will be ignored.

- We do NOT want SEO writers.
- We do NOT want AI/ChatGPT users.
- All content submitted must pass originality.ai and ZeroGPT scans.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
- You will research various tours and activities using TripAdvisor, Viator, Yelp, and other aggregators, and leverage your writing and editing skills to produce expert-level round up review articles on each.
- This is a long-term position.
- Include a bit about why you think you are a good fit, and why you are able to write from the perspective of a kama’aina.
- If you do not know what that word means, you probably shouldn’t apply.
SKILLS NEEDED
- You’re a natural-born writer! You probably spent a lot of time perfecting your craft, you have a strong grasp of grammar, and you enjoy the creative aspect of writing.
- You have a basic understanding of the cultural and linguistic nuances of Hawaii
- You know how to (or can look up) how to properly spell Hawaiian words
- You understand what hobbies can only be done during specific seasons in Hawaii
- You’re organized and independent, but you love working in a collaborative and positive team environment
- You love creating compelling content and you’re a continuous learner
