The Motus Technology team is looking for an Front End Developer to join the team in the midst of some exciting expansion. The team is building world-class applications that drive the technical design of Motus’ solution and productofferings and we are looking for a self-starting and passionate developer that will help drive the use of innovative toolsets and approaches so we can help our clients achieve their growth and mobility goals.
The ideal candidate for this role will be motivated and excited to work on large parts of our applications that include a wide range of responsibilities within an agile development environment. Our client side products are single-page applications built with an emphasis on reusability using React and Redux. Someone who has been successful at building scalable, maintainable and extensible software on a this platform is preferred.
Position Duties:
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, and architects in conceptualizing and developing new software applications and enhancements.
- Participate in feature design, working with product, UX and business experts.
- Mentor and guide our junior team members.
- Explore the use of emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of new product development efforts.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and training
- Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
- Experience with popular React.js workflows such as Flux or Redux
- Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
- Familiarity with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
- Familiarity with code versioning tools – git
- Experience working in a Scrum environment and working knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Consistent demonstration of Motus core values curious, brave and exceptional
- Experience developing in a team environment
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously
- Industry recognized certifications a plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
