Pregnant Then Screwed is looking for a freelance Copywriter who will write, edit and format reports, documents, website and social media copy. They will also support other members of the organisation with improving their written communication skills.
It is expected that you will be required for 16 hours per month, this will be spread across the month on an ad-hoc basis, with an initial term of 3 months. This may be extended. You will report to the Head of Communications and Campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in editing and writing copy for a variety of different types of work including:
- Annual reports
- Web copy
- Social media posts
- Newsletters
- Parliamentary inquiries and briefings
- Quotes and articles for the media
- Funding bids and funding evaluation documents
You will have the ability to adapt your writing style for different audiences, including humorous and warm, professional, business, impact driven, and political. You will also have experience in upskilling others in how to improve their own written communication.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have at least 3 years experience in copywriting
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Excellent grammar and punctuation skills
- Experience of writing documents for funders and documents for MPs.
- Have the ability to use humour to communicate their message
- An ability to translate complex information into simple language
- Previous experience of training others in written communication skills
Rate per month: £700
Additional fee of £500 to run a workshop which will improve the written communication skills of the team
