Nursing & Health Professions Clinical Content Writer/Editor

Dynamic Health from EBSCO Health is an innovative evidence-based resource that helps nurses and health professionals master critical skills, aid decision-making, and improve competencies.

Users can find current, actionable information about procedures, diseases/conditions, signs/symptoms, care interventions, and diagnostic tests that support core competencies along with content focused on transcultural care and patient education.

The Nursing & Health Professions Content Writer/Editor will work closely with the Content Development Editors, Section Editors (Directors) and Editor-in-Chief to develop and maintain clinical content within a specialty area. The role requires at least 5 years’ experience and knowledge of practice at the point of care in addition to:

  • Excellent clinical writing and editing skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to translate researched evidence into written clinical recommendations and into standard templates for online point-of-care practice tools
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice principles, research process, research analysis, and familiarity with health resources
  • Computer literacy including > 2 years’ experience with (and current access to) MS Office Suite including Word and proficiency in the use of track changes

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and a clinical degree in their specialty (e.g., BS in Nursing). Specialty certifications and a master’s degree in a health-related field are highly preferred.

We are currently seeking specialists with experience in all pediatric and adult nursing areas (particularly emergency, oncology, OR, ICU, PICU, NICU, perioperative, medical-surgical, obstetrics, pediatric, psychiatry/behavioral health), transcultural care, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietetics/nutrition, and social work.

Writing and editorial work can be completed remotely. This is a contract position.

The screening process will include a brief writing/editing test and a writing sample.
